Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is an autonomous agency in India became an independent entity at the behest of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and Public Sector Banks in 1984 and started in 1975 as Personnel Selection Services (PSS).With a mission of enhancing human resource development through personnel assessment, IBPS is envisioned as self-governed academic and research oriented Institute. Every year IBPS announces positions in clerical, PO and SO posts in State Bank nationalized banks and RRBs. Applicants have to appear for preliminary and final common written exams (CWE) and then an interview before a selection panel (interview in the case of IBPS PO and IBPS SO). The application form of IBPS SO 2018 will be released online only.

Nationality
  • An Applicant must be either – A Citizen of India or
  • A subject of Nepal or Bhutan or
  • A Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
Age Limit (As on 1.11.2017)
  • An Applicant should not have been born earlier than 2.11. 1987 and not later than 1.11.1997 (both dates inclusive)
  • Minimum Age: 20 years
  • Maximum Age: 30 Years
  • Educational Qualifications
    Law Officer (Scale 1)
    •  A Bachelor Degree in Law (LLB) and enrolled as an advocate with Bar Council.

IBPS SO 2018 Exam Pattern

Exam Pattern for the Post of Law Officer and Rajbhasha Adhikari:
  • Written examination iObjectiveve type and will be conducted online.
  • Written exam contains 200 questions for 200 marks.
  • Exam Paper will be bilingual i.e. Hindi and English language.
  • Exam paper will have 4 sections such as
(1) Reasoning,
(2) English Language,
(3) General Awareness and
(4) Professional Knowledge.
  • There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
  • The exam duration will be 2 hours.
